PlantLogicSM
database solutions are selected, modified and built for your business
advantage. When there is a need for Plant Process Information, a PlantLogic Solution
provides
your business with tested Manufacturing Intelligence at exceptional
value. PlantLogicSM Database Software Solutions for Manufacturing Process Information and Production Management solutions are borne of Program4 Engineering’s more than 16 years of automation engineering experience. We offer the following modules:
The PlantLogicSM Downtime Reporting system logs downtime events and alarms to the database of your choice. The associated website shows a summary of downtime events and alarms for the selected shift. The system supports any number of production lines and can be configured to meet your needs. We have found that the total cost for design, development and installation of PlantLogic Downtime Reporting can be less than 50% of some licenses software still in the shrink wrap.
The PlantLogicSM Production Schedule allows you to run your production line from your production schedule. Maintain your production schedule using our web-based tool and display it to your production team. Or link to the production schedule in your Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
The PlantLogicSM Recipe Handler allows you to specify the ingredients and their quantities for each step in the manufacturing process and the sequence of the batching process. When you’re ready to produce a given product, download the recipe to tags directly to the PLC where these initial values can be adjusted, within a specified range, to meet current production conditions. As the product is being made, actual ingredient measurements can be logged to an audit table on a periodic basis so that a Batch Report can be run, comparing the target ingredient amounts with the actual measured values. Within your product’s recipe database schema are equipment setup parameters…and fire up your production line!
Your PlantLogicSM intranet website allows you to select which information is sent to which Production Line or Plant Area. Production schedules, HR announcements, recurring training videos, and web-based content such as the weather can also be displayed in a timed, cyclical fashion.
The PlantLogicSM Production Reporting system collects and reports on a variety of production related issues. Shift summary reports, Ingredient usage, and Lot tracking are just a few of the many reports that this system can deliver. The PlantLogic Production Reporting system integrates seamlessly with the other parts of the PlantLogic family, including the PlantLogic Recipe Handling module and the PlantLogic SPC Charting module.
The PlantLogicSM Quality Control module logs and reports on information about how your product was made. Sample weights can be manually entered. Process parameters, such as oven temperatures, can be automatically logged. Quality-related reports can be generated. Or with the power of the PlantLogic SPC Charting system, charts and graphs can be generated, highlighting any quality issues that need to be addressed.
The PlantLogicSM
SPC Charting module takes the numbers that can be gathered from your
production line and puts them into charts that let you grasp how
production is truly running. Chart real-time process-specific data.
Highlight product quality issues that need to be addressed. Relate
changes in production efficiencies to changes in production equipment
setup. The flexibility of this module is only bounded by your
imagination. ![]() PlantLogicSM Database Software Solutions
Why consider designing a system from scratch when you can start with 85% of it already completed? Reusing design components, database templates or entire designs from previously built systems gives you both exceptional value and a proven solution.
To your customers, the information about the products you manufacture is almost as valuable as the products themselves. And to your manufacturing personnel, knowing how they are performing can help drive even higher levels of productivity. In our data-driven world, enterprise data drives the manufacturing process, including the production schedule and the product specification. PlantLogicSM software pulls your enterprise data, such as product recipes, into your control systems and can push your manufacturing process data, such as part counts, from your control systems into your enterprise. PlantLogic software gives you web-based tools to analyze that data and share it with your customers. And we can feed the key performance indicators from your process analysis to large displays on your plant floor. We enable your manufacturing and enterprise data to give your business a proprietary competitive advantage!
Systems that provide exceptional value today must be able to be reliable, scalable and low maintenance if they are going to provide exceptional value in the future. Yet you shouldn’t have to pay for upgrades that you don’t need. We deliver solutions that minimize the need for licensed software and are designed for a five (5) year minimum hardware and software life span. Our solutions are built on industry standards such as OPC Communication applications, databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. PlantLogic web-based application are developed using tools such as Microsoft ASP.NET. We look at your current and future needs, so that you don’t find yourself boxed in by an inflexible system. And we give you the documentation and source code to your system, giving you lots of migration path options when you’re ready to extend your system. The
PlantLogicSM Server
is a Ready-to-Run Database and Plant Process Information Web Server
that can be easily added to your existing network infrastructure. The
Server provides a secure, reliable repository for your data by using
RAID5 or today’s equivalent with multiple hard drives, and Microsoft
SQLServer or Oracle. The Web Server components provide an extremely
low-cost method of providing important Data, Analysis and Reports to
your users.
